Historic Log Books & 2016 AGM

Greetings CCCSA members,

We were lucky again on Sunday 26th June to have mostly clear skies for membership renewal day. Thanks to those who attended and assisted on the day, particularly our historic inspectors.

As is always the case at this time of the year, a significant number of historic log books expire at the same time. There’s a fair bit of work involved in expiring the old book, issuing a new one, recording the details, posting it back etc.

Our Historic Registrar does an outstanding and sometimes thankless job of turning them around as soon he can. Some 65 books needed reissuing this time around, of which 34 have been completed. We have almost run out of books and unfortunately aren’t able to get more until the current batch are all issued (not our rules, the Federation sets that), further delaying the process.

The backlog is being worked through, and if you are waiting on your book it may take another 2-3 weeks for it to arrive. If your new book hasn’t arrived by the next meeting, 9th August, please contact the club mobile or use the “Contact Us” page on the web site to get in touch and we will follow it up for you. Thank you for your patience in this.

Speaking of the next meeting, Tuesday 9th August is the CCCSA’s AGM. As usual all committee positions become vacant at that meeting and are open to any financial member who feels they can make a contribution to nominate themselves, or be nominated by another member. It’s always good to have fresh input on any committee and it’s a chance to have a bigger say in the running of the club. So consider if you would like to volunteer your time to one of the roles.

Thanks once again and keep it Mopar!
